49 Vermillion Road, Trout Creek, Montana 59874 Greeting from Montana, For those of you wondering how our Spring Bear season went, check out our photos on this page!! The Malace family arrived on May 9th to start the hunt. Young Larry had hunted with us last year taking a nice Black Bear however he has been wanting a color phase bear, so he decided to come again this year and bring his Dad and younger brother Tom as well. With a very earlie spring this year, we knew that bear hunting would be great! We knew that it would be just a matter of getting out and we would see some nice bear. Larry was the first to connect as he and Jeff were hiking out a grassy logging road when a very nice brown bear stepped onto the road, Jeff gave Larry the word and Larry made a great shot, hitting the bear behind the shoulder. The bear jumped off the road and only went a short distance before he expired. Needless to say, Larry was a very happy hunter in camp that evening. Tom came ready to hunt and cover the country looking for a good bear. He had never taken a big game Larry Sr. also had some chances but for one reason or another it just didn't work out. We had a great time and are looking forward to seeing these guys again. Also in the photos, you will see a picture of Jeff with a nice black bear. We were checking out some new hunting areas this spring and we spotted this nice bear. We were able to get some good video footage of Once again, the spring bear hunt was a great time. Lots of game was spotted and we have some great memories to remind us of a great hunt and some good times. Getting on with other news, we've been getting a very good amount of rain so vegetation is bursting making great forage for the elk and deer. At this time the antler growth is in full swing and we've been seeing nice animals on a regular basis. For you interested in a Mountain Lion Hunt, we only have 2 hunters booked for our Dec. Hunts. We have 2 openings available. Remember that these hunts are highly successful as during our 21 years of Lion hunting only 2 hunters were unsuccessful. This is a great hunt and we have a good Lion population at this time. Give us a call if you think you may be up for a hunt like this come Dec. That's about it for now, so until next time as always ---- good hunting.
